Archive: Around Town

The annual Cornell Town-Gown (TOGO) Awards were handed out Saturday on the Cornell campus. The informal, celebratory event included remarks from CU President David Skorton, and recognition of this year's five town-gown collaborators: the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, the Public Service Center POST Program, Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services, Dump & Run, and Tompkins County Area Development.

In addition, local leaders who have left or are leaving elected or high-profile appointed positions will be recognized, and this year includes Maryanne Banks, Ann Colt, Jennifer Dotson, Joanne Farbman, Richard Driscoll, Frank Proto, Chris Proulx, Pat Pryor,  Lenore Schwager and David Squires.

Participants brought canned food in support of the Meinig National Scholars' annual TOGO food drive that benefits the Ithaca Kitchen Cupboard.
