Lansing is in the IAC large school division which consists of Waverly, Newark Valley, Watkins Glen, Elmira Notre Dame and Lansing.
At the start of this season I knew it would be a very competitive season for our boys team. At the end of regular league, Newark Valley won the division, Waverly was second by two points and Lansing was third by four points - a very close race. Even though we came in third the boys team bowled well and took points away from the top two teams during match to match play.

The Lansing Girls Basketball team captured their second consecutive IAC Championship as they defeated Watkins Glen 51-35 at TC3 last Friday. Great team defense, balanced scoring and solid senior leadership were the keys to the Ladycats success on this night.
Jocelyn Ford led the way with 12 points, however 7 other players factored into the scoring, including 7 points each for seniors MC Barrett, Ellyn Grant-Keane and Stephanie Gonyea. Nina Lindberg and Carlene Fields added 5 points each, while Colby McCartney and Shanna Shaff chipped in with 4 points each. MC Barrett and Jocelyn Ford played outstanding defense on Taylor Chaffee throughout the night, holding Watkins Glen's leading scoring to 7 points under her average.
