The Lansing Boys Cross Country team came in first against
Watkins Glen, Tioga, and Candor this week at Watkins Glen. Lansing took the
first three places with sophomore Josh Barber in first with a personal best for
the season (19:04) followed by teammates Jon Cleveland (19:06) and Travis
Miller (19:07). Seniors Henry Potter and Casey Nassif also had personal records
for the season.
Shanna Swanson was the lone varsity girls athlete who ran
her personal best time of 23:04. Seventh grader Hannah Shea ran well for the
team and placed fourth in the modified race.
Lansing hosts Moravia, Trumansburg, and Watkins Glen
on Tuesday October 2nd.

The Lansing Boys Soccer Team is now 8-0-1. This past week the boys posted wins over Trumansburg 4-1, Union Springs 6-1, and Watkins Glen 4-0.
During the Trumansburg game it was Erik Rasmussen who found the goal two times while Walker Diebolt and Ryan Mallinson also scored. Diebolt had two assists as well. The game saw Lansing dominate from beginning to end as they played a ball control style of play. Tim McGiff was solid in the back as he shut-down Trumansburg's top scorer, Chris Grey.

Lansing's Varsity Girls Swimming and Diving Team had two victories this week at the EFA Swimming & Diving Invitational Meet in Elmira, and in a regular meet where they were pitted against Odessa Montour. The girls were the top scoring Class C team at Elmira with 329 points. Watkins Glen scored 237, Whitney Point 173, Waverly 133, and Odessa finished with 87. In addition Lansing's Kali Dean made the State Meet Qualifying time in the 100 freestyle event.
At home on Tuesday, Lansing nearly doubled Odessa's score in a 110 - 56 meet. Ashley McDonald, Alex Conte, Lexi Payton and Courtney Pollack sped to first place in the 200 Yard Medley Relay when they completed the event in only 2:16.06. Danyelle Barron, Anna Mapes, Kate Adie and Chelsie Radcliffe came in second in the relay, followed by Odessa Montour in third place.

The varsity football team raced to a 26-0 halftime lead and won 46-6 vs. Tioga on Friday night. The game was delayed 1 hour and 20 minutes for lightning.
The Bobcats are 3-0 and travel to Sidney this Friday for a key divisional match up. Against Tioga, five different players scored with Brian Milliman scoring two times on Short runs. Vincent Redmond, Colden Knapp, Teagen Barresi and Matthew Ford all each scored once.
Knapp rushed for 104 yds on 13 carries while Redmond threw for 134 yards on 8 completions. Barresi had two catches fro 82 yds. The
defense continued to be stingy allowing only 117 total yds to Tioga.

The boys Varsity Soccer team is 5-0-1. The team defeated Union Springs 6-1, Watkins Glen 1-0, Moravia 8-0, Newark Valley 4-0, tied Dryden 1-1, and beat Waverly 6-0 Monday afternoon.
The team has been led by a balance of scoring and a balance of defense. Captain Tyler Fleming has led the defense and managed to score two goals as well. Walker Diebolt in the middle has worked hard and played hard throughout every game. Sophomore Michael Bradford has done the bulk of the work in goal with Brian Streb and Aaron Eddy filling in at times.
