The Lansing football team improved their record to 5-0 on the year with a 55-0 win at Newark Valley on Saturday. It was a day that saw the defense intercept 6 passes, one returned for a touchdown by Vincent Redmond, while holding the Cardinals to 121 total yards of offense. Curtis Fenner made his first of two interceptions on the day that lead to the Bobcats first score, a 16 yard Ryan Earl run, the kick attempt failed making the score 6-0. The next Bobcat drive started at their own 6 yard line, following the second Curtis Fenner interception.
The key play in this 94 yard drive was a 47 yard pass from Redmond to Fenner that moved the ball out to the Newark Valley 44 yard line. Redmond hooked up with Brian Milliman for a 13 yard touchdown pass, then Redmond passed to Earl for the 2 point conversion making the score 14-0. A Matt Ford interception lead to the Cat's next score, a 3 yard run from Trevor Countryman, the Rusty Landon kick made the score 21-0. Rusty Landon intercepted a pass on the Cardinals next possession, setting up a 31 yard touchdown pass from Redmond to Fenner, the Landon Kick made it 28-0 with 13 seconds left in the first quarter.

The Lansing Football team improved their record to 4-0 with a 42-0 victory over previously unbeaten Watkins Glen on Friday. It was a total team effort from the start, with The Bobcats getting positive contributions from everyone on both sides of the ball. The Cat's took the opening kickoff and marched 66 yards ending with a Trevor Countryman 6 yard run, his first of four touchdowns on the evening, a Rusty Landon kick made the score 7-0.
The Bobcats received good field position on their next possession starting on the Watkins 47 yard line they drove for another Countryman touchdown, this one from three yards out, the Landon kick made it 14-0 to end the first quarter. Once again the Bobcats benefited from good field position starting at the Watkins 49 yard line they put together a seven play drive ending with a Countryman one yard plunge, a Vincent Redmond pass to Ryan Earl for the 2 point conversion made the score 22-0 at the half. However, it was the defense that supplied the turning point of the game as they came up huge stopping Watkins on downs just prior to the end of the first half, securing the lead, and preventing the Senecas from gaining any momentum.
