So, you’re probably wondering what Waza Flo means. It stands for Wisdom, Awareness, Zen, Application, Fulfillment, Liberation, and Oneness. Waza Flo is a group of soccer teams that started in Michigan. Lamarr Peters, the coach, and his friends originated this program to help kids learn to use the skills of soccer. |

Lansing's Varsity Softball Team ended the season 16-6. The Lansing Varsity Softball team ended their year in the sectional quarterfinals losing to Chenango Valley 8-2. Lansing jumped out to a 1-0 lead on the number three team in the state but saw it quickly vanish as CV scored 3 in the first and 2 in the third. Lansing committed 6 errors on the game which turned things very quickly. The girls did enjoy a great year 16-6 and qualified as the wild card for the IAC playoffs where they lost to Elmira Notre Dame (#5 State ranked) 1-0. Lansing finished the year by wining 11 out of their last 14 games. Lansing says good bye to three seniors: Liz Linberg, Katie Hranek, and Maegan Mikula. The team will bring back 8 players for coach Heck's team next season. ---- v2i21 |

Last week at sectionals Adam Hardie and Devin Grant-Keane played doubles and had 3 victories over teams from S. Cayuga, Trumansburg and Newark Valley to advance to the East-West crossover matches yesterday. They played very well and defeated Seton # 1 doubles team 6-4, 6-3 to make it to the finals against END. They lost 3-6, 6-7 (7-5) tiebreaker. Now we continue in the State Qualifier where all classes send the top 2 finishers for a double elimination tournament on Friday, May 26 to earn a chance to go to States held at Flushing Meadows, where US Open is held. I'm very proud of how we have played to this point and feel we have a shot at going to States. ---- v2i20 |
