 You Can Write the News About Your Church or Synagogue
The Star is a perfect way to get news of your church or synagogue out to the Lansing community. And we want that news, but it has been slow going getting it. But we need your help.
What we want is for you to send us news of your religious community that would be interesting to Lansing at large. Events for adults and kids, reports on bible school, special ministries, trips... Explanations of religious events and holidays from the point of view of your denomination, multi-denominational connections... these are just a few ideas that you could write about.
- pastors, priests, rabbis to consider a periodic column on religion.
- a member of the congregation could write about weekly events
- articles about special activities
We would like a lively worship page as we are sure you would, because we know how important Lansing's churches and synagogue are to the community. This is your opportunity to create a forum in the Star with news and lively discussion about worship, God, the bible and how Lansing worships, celebrates and participates in our local religious community.
We strongly prefer news of Lansing places of worship, as we are the Lansing paper. However, we do accept stories about Lansing residents who participate in congregations elsewhere. Please note that such stories must feature Lansing residents, while stories from Lansing houses of worship may be more general in nature.
