The Varsity Softball Team is 8-3. The team captured the Mudville Tournament over the weekend with big wins over Class A Indian River 11-0 and Canajoharia 14-11.  RandiLyn Randall pitched both games, pitching a two hit shut-out in the first.  In game one the bats were led by Freshmen Brittany French with three hits and Breanne Nichols with 3 hits as well.  In game two it was a slugfest as both teams combine for 27 hits and 25 runs.  The Bobcats out-hit their opponents for the win.

With Randall pitching her 6th game of the week the bats had to come out.  Maegan Mikula and Randall both went 4-5 with Randall hitting a two run home run in the bottom of the first.  The clutch hits came from Katie Hranek who went 3 for 3 with 4 RBI.  The Bobcats were especially proud of their accomplishments when they received the sportsmanship award for the tournament.

In their latest game the girls defeated Groton 14-3.  The game was back and forth until Kristin Carlson led off the 6th inning with a double which started a 8 run inning to put the game out of reach-  Groton never could recover  Randall picked up the win and the team was led by Maegan Mikula who had 3 hits on the day.  The ladies return to the field with games against Marathon on Friday the 5th and then next week travel to Union springs and then host Moravia on Wednesday.
