So, you’re probably wondering what Waza Flo means. It stands for Wisdom, Awareness, Zen, Application, Fulfillment, Liberation, and Oneness. Waza Flo is a group of soccer teams that started in Michigan.  Lamarr Peters, the coach, and his friends originated this program to help kids learn to use the skills of soccer.

The team is a boy’s soccer team, composed of Lansing boys and a few from Ithaca, ranging in age from 9-11. All of the boys were on one of Lamarr’s indoor winter teams, which means many of them have played together before.

This new spring team has been together since April 21, 2006. Their names are: Tim Arleo, Donovan Baird, Dennis Briton, Ben Calhoun, Sam Currie, Sam Drake, Christopher Emley, Pericles Hayes, Jeffrey Kirkwood, Thomas Lange, Joshua Lee, Charlie Mauser, Luke Mehringer, Jake Palladino, Kevin Price, Woojin Richardson, Galen Volckhausen, and Jason Yahn. The team manager is Lynn Baird and the assistant coach is Mark Emley.

They have practice 1 ½ hours every Friday and optional practices during the week. There are 2 games remaining in the session. You can still see them play either June 10 at 2pm @ Lansing modified soccer field or June 18 at 1pm in Oneonta. Their uniform is yellow for home and green for away games.
