KERNERSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA:  Laura Bradley Gasket, 88 of 610 Trim Branch Road, Newland, North Carolina, a native of Ludlowville, New York died at 10:40pm, Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Britthaven of Kernersville, Kernersville, North Carolina.
 
Mrs. Gasket was born January 5, 1930 in Ludlowville, New York, a daughter of the late Thomas and Edna (nee Sperry) Bradley.  She was a graduate of Cornell University and received her Masters Degree from Syracuse University.  In 1960, the Gaskets moved to Rockville, Maryland where Mrs. Gasket was employed as a reading teacher for the Montgomery County School System, Montgomery County, Maryland.  She retired in 1977. At that time, she and her husband moved to the mountains of North Carolina where she became a volunteer at Sloop Memorial Hospital for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Joseph Gasket of Newland, NC., her daughter, Sandy Benedict of Greensboro, NC., her son Thomas (Karen) Gasket of Phoenix, AZ. and her grandchildren, Heather and Kelly Gasket and Noah and Josh Benedict. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clayton, Harry, Claude, Edward and Gerald Bradley.
 
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 6, 2006 at The Lansing Funeral Home, Inc., 32 Auburn Road, Lansing, NY.  Rev. Jacquie Lewis officiated.  Interment followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lansing, NY.
