The Lansing Bobcat Football team improved their record to 3-0 on the season with a 48-7 victory over Spencer VanEtten.  The Bobcats utilized a familiar formula to gain their third consecutive win on the road, a punishing ground game that saw them gain 342 yards on 43 carries, and stifling defense which held the Panthers to minus 24 yards on 29 carries.

Trevor Countryman was again the workhorse on offense gaining 197 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 15 carries.  Rusty Landon added 3 touchdowns, one on a spectacular 70 yard punt return in the second quarter. Fullback Ryan Earl, the lead blocker on the majority of Countryman's runs, closed out the scoring with a 3 yard touchdown run.  Quarterback Vincent Redmond had another solid evening going 4 for 9 for 94 yards while leading the Bobcat offense.

The Bobcats took the opening kickoff and drove 60 yards, finishing with a Trevor Countryman 8 yard run, Rusty Landon's kick made the score 7-0.  Rusty Landon then scored the first of his 3 touchdowns on a 4 yard run, his kick made the score 14-0. The Panthers then scored their lone touchdown on a Kyle Conrad 30 yard pass reception, Conrad's kick made the score 14-7.

The Cat's answered back on their next play from scrimmage with a 57 yard TD run from Trevor Countryman, Landon's kick  made the score 21-7 to close out the first quarter.  The Bobcats next score came on Rusty Landon's 70 yard punt return, his kick raised the score to 28-7.

Trevor Countryman finished off the first half scoring with a 3 yard run, Landon's kick made it 35-7.  Ryan Earl got the Cat's on the board in the third quarter with his 3 yard run, Landon's kick made it 42-7.  The final score came in the forth quarter as Rusty Landon's 9 yard run, following a penalty the kick was missed making the final score 48-7.
