ImageLansing's Varsity Girls Swimming and Diving Team had two victories this week at the EFA Swimming & Diving Invitational Meet in Elmira, and in a regular meet where they were pitted against Odessa Montour.  The girls were the top scoring Class C team at Elmira with 329 points.  Watkins Glen scored 237, Whitney Point 173, Waverly 133, and Odessa finished with 87.  In addition Lansing's Kali Dean made the State Meet Qualifying time in the 100 freestyle event.

At home on Tuesday, Lansing nearly doubled Odessa's score in a 110 - 56 meet.  Ashley McDonald, Alex Conte, Lexi Payton and Courtney Pollack sped to first place in the 200 Yard Medley Relay when they completed the event in only 2:16.06.  Danyelle Barron, Anna Mapes, Kate Adie and Chelsie Radcliffe came in second in the relay, followed by Odessa Montour in third place.
In the 200 Yard Freestyle Kali Dean and Katrina Mehringer took first and second place, with Dean finishing in 2:01.70 and Mehringer in 2:26.99.  Odessa's Alyssa Bleiler took first in the 200 Yard IM, with Lansing's Chelsea Tucker, Valerie Massi, and Amanda Leonardo in second, third and fourth.  The 50 Yard Freestyle was owned by Lansing with Alex Conte (29.09), Kelsy Quigley (29.30), and Marissa Lehr (30.69) taking the top three spots.

Lansing was the only team to compete in diving.  Kayla Arrison scored highest with 107.95, followed by Danyelle Barron and Jessica Morse.

The sixth event was the 100 Yard Butterfly with Odessa and Lansing sharing the glory with Odessa taking first and third, and Lansing's Ashley McDonald in second place and Nicole Nassiftaking fourth.  Kelsy Quigley came in first in the 100 Yard Freestyle, finishing in 1:02.47, closely followed by Lexi Payton in second place.

Lansing took first, second and third place in the 500 Yard Freestyle when Kali Dean sped to the finish in  5:30.18, with Courtney Pollack and Chelsie Radcliffe taking second and third.  The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay also belonged to Lansing's three teams, which took the first three places with the Odessa team in fourth.  The Lansing 'C' team made up of Ashley McDonald, Anna Mapes, Valerie Massi and Andrea Payton sped to first place in 1:58.84, followed by 'E' team members Kelsy Quigley, Chelsie Radcliffe, Marissa Lehr and Amanda Leonardo, and the 'A' Team taking third place when Kali Dean, Nicole Nassif, Morgan Barron and Cayla Griffin finished in 2:04.26.

Lansing girls followed up by winning the first three places in the 10th event when Alex Conte completed the 100 Yard Backstroke in 1:17.66, and Katrina Mehringer and Jessica Morse coming in second and third.  Anna Mapes was first in the  100 Yard Breaststroke, finishing in 1:26.84.

Odessa Montour's two 400 Yard Freestyle Relay teams scored first and second in the final event.
