Image(Ithaca, NY) The Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce is announced this week that Merrill Lynch has opened their new office facility at 235 South Cayuga Street in downtown Ithaca. The new facility is located in the street level space of the new Cayuga Garage directly across from the Holiday Inn. An official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was be held yesterday.

According to Senior Resident Director and Wealth Management Advisor Richard Prybyl, the company chose downtown Ithaca over other possible locations because they saw a natural fit. The firm appreciated the retail friendly, two-way street access, plus the ample, attractive, and free covered parking that is on-site for their clients. Prybyl notes that "we are growing and like what is shaping up in downtown Ithaca. We are delighted to be part of new growth and vitality of downtown". Merrill Lynch has had an Ithaca presence since 1991.

The new facility combines two offices that were on East State Street and Seneca Street respectively. The move was needed to accommodate the growth in work force and client base. The new facilities include state-of-the-art technologies, and larger, more flexible meeting and educational space. The move represents a restated commitment to Ithaca for Merrill Lynch. Twelve Ithaca financial advisors offer a complete range of wealth management services and investment management capabilities.
