Lansing's new Varsity Coach was also pleased with the efforts of the entire team, especially the Freshmen.  Clement Towner came in first place in the 500 Freestyle and was part of the winning 200 Free Relay. He said all new members of the team "did very well – great efforts!"

When asked what the key areas of change is over last year's team, Coach Vaughan said that last year's team had 7 Seniors who had an incredible year.  This year's team has a lone Senior (Jake Sangren); however, the team can rely on the efforts of a very strong team of Juniors.  Dan Ravas (Junior) came out strong with 1st place finishes in the 200 FREESTYLE (2:00.76) and the 100 Freestyle (53.88).   Ari Darlow (Junior) scored a 1st place finish in the 200 IM (Individual Medley) with a time of 2:26.42, and Dave Bandler (Junior) finished 1st in the 50 Freestyle (23.86).  These Juniors were also strong finishers in the team's Relay Events.  Others contributing to the relay wins were Max MacKenzie (Junior)and Casey Hagin (Sophomore).
