Group Study Exchange Committee for Rotary District 7170 seeks Team Members for Exchange to Brazil.

Cooperstown, NY, July 17, 2005…Rotary District 7170 is sending a Group Study Exchange team to Rotary District 4500 in northeast Brazil in May/June 2006. Sponsored by The Rotary Foundation, the trip promotes international understanding and goodwill through personal contact.

The District GSE Committee is seeking four outstanding young professionals to participate as team members. The program involves a four to six-week visit, during which each member must share personal knowledge of the United States and experience the cultures, vocations and lifestyles of the Brazilian hosts. While abroad, the team members will stay in Rotarian’s homes, meet their professional counterparts and participate in Rotary Club meetings. The team will be lead by Rotarian Patrick McKee of the Ithaca Rotary Club.

To qualify applicants cannot be Rotarians or immediate family members of Rotarians. Applicants from 25 to 40 years of age must be employed full-time in a recognized business or profession, and live or work within Rotary District 7170. The Rotary Foundation provides the round-trip air fare and the host Rotary Clubs provide meals, lodging and group travel in Brazil. Team members pay for visas as well as personal and incidental expenses.
