Francis P. “Frank” Vallely, 75, of Lansing, NY passed away on Sunday December 16, 2007 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Nora Vallely; his sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin F. and Mary Vallely, Dryden, NY, Sean and Teri Vallely, Erin, NY; his daughters and son-in-law, Honora Vallely, Elizabethtown, NY, Bridget and Jeffrey Kentch, Virgil, NY; four grandchildren, Erin, Quinn, Timmy, Daisy; brothers and sister-in-law, Terry Vallely, Edward and Becky Vallely; sister, Audrey Fields; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, William, Robert, Thomas Vallely; and sisters, Margaret Boyton, Eileen O’Connor. Frank was born in Bronx, NY on August 29, 1932, the son of the late Francis A. and Bridget Delia (Reynolds) Vallely.

From the age of 5, he was raised with his grandparents in Ireland, moving back to America at age 17. Frank and Nora were married on September 7, 1957, and eventually settled in Lansing in 1961.  He was a member of All Saints Church and Knights of Columbus in Ithaca. An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting, Frank also had a passion for growing a spectacular vegetable garden. He was always actively involved with his children’s endeavors, from supporting them with school sports, plays and musicals, to Scout Troop 48 activities. Frank was also a member of the Tompkins County Rod and Gun Club, the Schuyler County Motorcycle Club, and the Lansing volunteer Fire Department.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at All Saints Church, 347 Ridge Rd., Lansing, NY on Friday December 21, 2007, at 10:00am with Father Scott Kubinski.  Burial will be in North Lansing Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to call at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, NY, on Thursday December 20, 2007, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm
