Peterson Opens Downtown Warren Office Print

ImageMayor Carolyn Peterson and other officials from the city of Ithaca and the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce are scheduled to attend the ribbon cutting ceremonies for Warren Real Estate of Ithaca's downtown office. The ceremony will be held at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, February 11th, 2008 at 301 East State Street. The ceremony is sponsored by the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce.

The East State Street location is Warren's first office in downtown Ithaca and the 3rd one the company has opened. It's also the company's second expansion in a year and a half. Warren Real Estate of Ithaca is headquartered on Hanshaw Road in Cayuga Heights and also has an office in Cortland.

The downtown Ithaca office is centrally located on the corner of East State and Aurora Streets and provides all of the services and amenities offered at Warren's two other locations. Its strategic location is within walking distance for downtown property owners and those who would like to own property in the area, as well as people who work at both Cornell University and Ithaca College.

Warren says, "We've seen a steady increase in business at our downtown location since it first opened in December. We recognized a few years ago that many of these buyers and sellers we're seeing, wanted to do business with a realtor that was conveniently located for them and we're pleased to be able to serve them in this way."

Peterson is expected to offer some remarks about the opening of the only real estate office currently located in downtown Ithaca, as part of the ceremony.

Warren Real Estate was established in 1953 by Anne Warren and has been family-owned and operated since it's founding. It has seen steady growth over the years with annual sales of $75 million dollars in 2003, $126 million in 2006 and projected sales of $175 million dollars in 2007. The Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce also named Warren Real Estate of Ithaca the 2007 David R. Strong Memorial Small Business of the Year.
