In Response to the editorial regarding the higher school taxes and who is in charge!
It seems to me that rather than complain we should all be making the point long before they get this far by attending the meetings and if necessary enlisting others of the same mind to vote AGAINST the school budgets.
I must agree that, with the increased assessments and economic hardships there should have been no budget increase this year.
Yes, I'm afraid that somebody may have to do without something (late
buses, field trips, etc) when the citizens of Lansing really get fed up
with the yearly increases.
What happened to the new
administrators statements about cutting spending. Seems as though he
has not done a very good job so far.
There is more money than budgeted for so why not give the tax payers a break for a change instead of taking it and spending it.
