The Boys and Girls Cross Country teams are looking strong at the start of the 2008 season. The boys team took first place on Tuesday at Candor against SVE, Groton, and Watkins Glen.  Jon Cleveland finished second (18:43) and co-caption Josh Barber finished fourth (19:05).

Completing the top five scoring athletes were co-caption Luke Davis (20:16), George Wigsten (20:42) and Tim Shea (20:47). Junior Dan Comisi improved his time by over four minutes to finish in 20:57. Shanna Swanson placed third for the girls with a time of 24:59, improving from last year and newcomer Neila Thomas finished with a time of 28:16.

Running for the modified team is Hannah Shea who finished with a time of 10:24 on the 1.25 mile course. The team travels to Moravia's Fillmore Glen Golf Course on Tuesday, September 16 to compete against Marathon and Tioga.
