Girls Basketball Starts With a Win

The Lansing Girls Basketball team opened the 2008-09 season with a 49-18 win at Union Springs on Tuesday. Rachael Palladino led abalanced scoring attack with 14 points, while Jocelyn Ford added 11points and Megan Palladino chipped in with 8 points. The Ladcats received contributions from every player, as eight different playersfigured in the scoring. Ellyn Grant-Keane led the team with 7 steals,Megan Palladino and MC Barrett both had a team high 6 rebounds, andthree players Beth Lader, Megan Palladino and Jocelyn Ford had 3assists. The team played outstanding defense throughout the contest,forcing 34 Union Springs turnovers. ---- v4i46
