Every year Janet and Bob Keefe host a community Independence Day parade and picnic.  This year 70 people showed up.  The day was complete with a whipped cream & marshmallow pie eating contest.

The Burts get into the spirit of Independence Day

A four-judge panel gave awards to each parade entry, making up categories to match the unique characteristics of the entry. The best float award in the parade went to The Keefes for their Lansing Lighthouse float.  All four Keefes (ages 3 to 55) worked on the float.
