ImageJudy A. Wilson passed away peacefully in her Searles Rd. home on Friday, July 3, 2009.


Born October 30, 1941 in Montour Falls, NY, Judy was a daughter of Edward and Mildred (Brown) Wickham. She was a 1959 graduate of Odessa-Montour High School and attended Alfred College prior to her employment with Cornell University. While she was working at Cornell University she went on a blind date with Hillis L. Wilson, and they've been together ever since, enjoying over 40 years of marriage.

Judy was a faithful member of Lansing United Methodist Church, where she took great pleasure in her participation with the Bell Choir and the Bible Study Group. She was also an avid reader, but first and foremost, her priority was her family.


Judy is survived by her husband, Hillis L. Wilson of Lansing; her daughter, Susan B. Wilson of Lansing, and her mother, Mildred Wickham of Cortland.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Wickham, and an infant sister, Linda Lou.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. William Gottshaalk-Fielding, will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Lansing United Methodist Church. Friends may call at the church from 1-2pm prior to the service. Burial, at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Odessa, will be at 11am on Wednesday, July 8, 2009.
