Andrew Elliott, of 127 Canaan Heights, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Cayuga Medical Center at the age of 52.

Born in Seneca Falls, NY, on May 22, 1957, he was a son of the late Elmer D. Elliott, Jr., and Florence E. Bryant Elliott who survives him. A 1976 graduate of Lansing High School, Andy proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps from 1976 - 1979. He was employed at Cargill Inc. for nearly 22 years as a bulk handler and loader operator. An avid outdoorsman, Andy never passed up an opportunity to go fishing or hunting.


Andy is survived by his mother, Florence E. Bryant Elliott of Auburn; fiancée, Denise Whitted of Locke; daughter, Jenell (Daniel) Arcan of Ossining, NY; son, Sgt. Jacob (Sarah) Elliott of Camp Lejeune, NC; granddaughter, Samantha Arcan; grandson, Connor Elliott; nephew, Jason Elliott; and Denise's family which includes Michelle Davis of Locke, Amanda (Rob) Beyer of Freeville, Ramona (Mike) McCall of Moravia, Christopher Vandermark of Locke, Joshua Cannon of Locke; and many grandchildren.


Andy also leaves a large extended family and numerous friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Elliott, Jr., and brothers, Bernie and Mark Elliott.

Family will be present to receive friends Wednesday, May 5th, from 2 - 5pm at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, NY. At 5pm, a memorial service, officiated by Sister Doreen Glynn, will be held at the funeral home.
