George A. Baker, age 77, of 158 Asbury Rd., Lansing, passed away at home on Sunday, August 8, 2010.

Born January 13, 1933 in Ayer, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Arthur H. and Loretta (Ricard) Baker. After high school George proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1954. Upon his honorable discharge, George was married to Tsuyuko "Terri" Kuroki. He and Terri enjoyed nearly 50 years of marriage before she passed away in 1999. They settled in Orange County, NY, where he and Terri raised four daughters. He was employed for many years with the Yellow Freight Company in Maybrook, NY, retiring in 1996.

George and Terri loved to travel the U.S. in their motor home, welcoming any friends or family that wanted to tag along. In 2004 George moved to Lansing to be closer to family. He was a past member of Dryden American Legion Post 1134, was an avid collector of anything wolf related. George had numerous friends in the area, all whom will miss visiting with him. A straight forward guy, he always told it like it was.
