mailmanOn election day Town of Lansing residents have the opportunity to vote for someone more qualified for the office they are seeking than any local candidate in recent memory. That person is Tammy Morse, running for Lansing Town Clerk.

In the nearly ten years that I have known Tammy I have come to trust her judgment and have found her to be dedicated and highly capable. As Trumansburg Village Clerk she has performed her duties with accuracy and conscientiousness, while going above and beyond by becoming well-versed in all areas of municipal and civil service law. She has proven to be integral to the Village Board's ability to effectively govern, and has steered the Village clear of potential pitfalls on more than one occasion. She has forged relationships with our residents, even those she may only see on rare occasion, adding an invaluable personal touch – something which is beneficial in any small community.

Elected officials are essentially caretakers of their office and the people they serve, and Tammy has always brought this caretaker mentality to the Clerk's position. Though her departure would be a deep loss for our Village, it would be an incredible gain for the people of Lansing.  Should the residents of the Town of Lansing wish to elect someone with not only the background and experience to efficiently run the Clerk's office, but also someone who will truly invest their heart and soul into the community, then there can be no better choice than Tammy Morse.
