mailmanBeing in local politics for a bit, candidates often ask me for advice. My answer is generally the same.  Go door to door.  I’m always surprised at how many folks blow off that advice.  I get it;  it’s cold, dark, uncomfortable maybe going to a stranger’s door.

Debbie Munson has NOT blown off that advice!  I’ve seen in her a determined candidate, someone who loves her community and, despite living here for four decades, she’s getting out to meet the voters when many in her position would kick back.  You don’t know how many candidates I’ve seen think 'everybody knows me.'  Debbie has taken nothing and no one for granted in this campaign and I’ve seen that in her work as Town Clerk too.

A campaign is an opportunity to see how a person will do the job.  I’ve seen Debbie everywhere:  the Chili Cook-off,  the Watchfire,  the pancake breakfast, Ag day, the Baker’s Acres Apple Festival.  Yes, a lot of Lansing events seem to involve food.  With Debbie as Town Clerk you’ll get someone who’s accessible and there to guide you through the challenges you may face living in Lansing.
