With an 80-69 defeat of Whitney Point at home on Tuesday at the Lansing Natatorium; coach Diane Hicks-Hughes swimmers secured their 2nd home win and moved to 4-0 on  the season.

Lansing, captained this year by Seniors Tori Swanson and Paige Kieper, went into the meet with prior victories against Watkins Glen, Southern Cayuga (98-60) and Dryden (95-70).

Scoring/placing for Lansing by event was as follows:

200 Medley Relay:
1st Place with a winning time of 2:14.39, the team of Katherine Barr (Back, 9), Paige Keiper (Breast, 12), Jacqueline Brown (Fly, 10), and Katie Weaver (Free, 11)
2nd Place with a time of 2:15.89 the team of Caroline Dennis (Back, 10), Laura Ferris (Breast, 9), Grace Ferris (Fly, 11) and Lizzy Drake (Free, 12)
4th Place with a time of 2:26.88 the team of Michelle Romano (11), Maddie McMillen(9), Krista Taylor (11) and Alexis Ryan (11)

200 Freestyle:
1st Place with a time of 2:17.79, Libby Weaver (9); 2nd Place Marin Allen,  5th Place Lanaia Hubbard (9)

200 Individual Medley:
1st Place with a time of 2:36.51, Lizzy Drake; 3rd Place Maddie McMillen (9); and 4th Place Alexis Ryan (11)

50 Freestyle:
1st Place with a time of 28.21, Grace Ferris; 2nd Jacqueline Brown and 4th Michelle Romano

Diving:
Freshman Megan Matheny, diving in exhibition as the only diver for either team scored a 215.80 for 6 dives.
100 Butterfly:
1st Place with a time of 1:13.68, Paige Kieper and 2nd Place fellow senior captain Tori Swanson
100 Freestyle:
1st Place with a time of 1:04.02, Marin Allen; 2nd Place Katherine Barr; and 4th Place Alexis Ryan

500 Freestyle:
1st Place with a time of 5:44.98, Katy Weaver; 2nd Place Paige Kieper; and 4th Place Amanda Van (12).
Subsequent to completion of the 500 Freestyle, Lansing had accumulated enough points to win the meet. Thus, Coach Hicks-Hughes had all Lansing swimmers/relays compete in exhibition.  Therefore, places are being reported based on time, not on official scoring position.
200 Freestyle Relay:
1st Place with a time of 1:55.55 the team of Caroline Dennis, Lizzy Drake, Krista Taylor and Libby Weaver
2nd Place with a time of 1:57.40 the team of Marin Allen, Laura Ferris, Jacqueline Brown and Paige Kieper
5th Place with a time of 2:57.40 the team of Mercedes Muzzy (9), Maria Robinson (9), Michelle Romano and Lauen Marzolf

100 Backstroke:
1st Place with a time of 1:07.16, Katie Weaver; 2nd Place Grace Ferris and 5th Place Claire Dowell
100 Breastroke:
1st Place with a time of 1:24.95, Jacqueline Brown;2nd Place, Krista Taylor and 5th Place, Laura Ferris
400 Freestyle Relay:
1st Place with a time of 4:23.27 the team of Katie Weaver, Marin Allen, Tori Swanson and Krista Taylor
2nd Place with a time of 4:35.51 the team of Grace Ferris, Katie Barr, Lizzy Drake and Megan Matheny
3rd Place with a time of 5:16.26 the team of Alexis Ryan, Amanda Van, Katie Dedrick and Laura Ferris

The Ladycats next meet is home vs. Waverly on Thursday September 24th at 4:30. Also the will be competing in the EFA Invitational on Saturday the 26th at Elmira Free Academy.
