The Lansing Bobcats Varsity Baseball team defeated TAE 1-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Garrett Bell struck out a TAE batter with a full count and runners at second and third to finish off the game.

The pitching was strong on both sides where Eric Eastman and Garret Bell hurlers struck out eight, while TAE pitchers sat down 14 Bobcat players. Trey McDonald recorded the winning run batted in.

Lansing Bobcats Varsity Loses Lead Early in Defeat

Lansing Bobcats Varsity Baseball watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-0 loss to Port Byron/Union Springs (Class B) on Wednesday 04/05. Port Byron/Union Springs took an early one run lead in the first inning from back to back deep line drives both yielding doubles.

Port Byron/Union Springs scored two runs in the second inning with some key hits, an error, and a sacrifice fly. Griffin Nelson took over from Lansing Miller on the mound to start the sixth inning.

One bright spot for Lansing Bobcats Varsity successful plate appearances by Lansing Miller and Jack Babuka. Port Byron/Union Springs had seven hits in the game.
