The program was begun in 1998 by Athletic Director Ed Redmond.  The inaugural 'Class of 1998' included ten charter members, voted into the Hall Of Fame by a committee of alumni and administrators.  In recent years terams have been inducted as well as individual athletes.

The Hall Of Fame is located behind the high school gymnasium.  More than 60 athletes, teams, coaches, administrators and contributors are commemorated with plaques honoring their achievements while at Lansing High School.  Anyone can nominate inductees.  A committee typically chooses three athletes and a team from among the nominees.  Athletes and teams may only be inducted if ten years has passed since their graduation or the year for which a team is nominated.

Felling is a 12 time Varsity Letter winner in Soccer, Basketball and Softball.  Downs is a 13 time Varsity Letter winner in Soccer Basketball, Softball and Track & Field.  McGowan is a 15 time Varsity Letter winner in Swimming, In-Door and Outdoor Track & Field.  The 1993 Section IV, Class C Championship Football Team finished the season with a 9-1-1 record.  Redmond was the Head Coach and the Assistant Coach was Stuart Dean.

Tickets are available at the Lansing Parks and Recreation Department.
