Lansing Scores Two Medals at State Indoor Track and Field Championship

tf_medal120Four Lansing Bobcat Track and Field jumpers and throwers competed at the NYS State Championships on March 1 in Barton Hall at Cornell.

Max Jordan cleared 14 ft 3 in, setting a new personal best.  Dylan Bland cleared 14 ft 0 in, equaling his personal best. In the NYS public school competition Junior Max Jordan and Senior Dylan Bland finished 5th and 6th respectively.  In the NYS Federation school competition Junior Max Jordan and Senior Dylan Bland finished 6th and 8th respectively.


Junior pole vaulter Hayley Wigsten finished 10th with a jump of 10 ft. Senior thrower Anders Presthus finished 18th in the federations with a shot put of 47 feet 5.5 in.

Head coach and pole vault specialist Matt Scheffler said, “I am very proud of my athletes and impressed by all the hard work and training they did to achieve these results representing Lansing in the indoor Track & Field Championship.”
