Five Bobcats Qualify for State Track & Field Championships

trackroarkehighjumpOn Thursday May 29th the Lansing Track & Field team competed in the Section 4 State Qualifier at Binghamton Alumni Stadium, to advance to the NYSPHSAA championships June 6 and 7 at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.

  • Advancing to the states, with the following places in the State Qualifying meet are:
  • Senior Anders Presthus.  Anders finished first in the discus with a throw of 150 ft. 8 in.  Anders also finished first in the  shot put with a throw of 46 ft. 8.5 in.
  • Senior Ben Roarke in the pentathlon.  Ben finished 2nd in the Pentathlon with 2981 points.
  • Junior Hayley Wigsten, Senior Dylan Bland and Junior Max Jordan in the Pole Vault.  Max was first with a vault of 14 ft, and Dylan was second with a 13 ft vault.  Hayley was 3rd with a vault of 10 ft. 6 in.
