Gansevoort, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced today that SUNY Cobleskill sophomore Alex Steelman, Ithaca, N.Y., Lansing High School, has been named the league’s Female Swimmer-of-the-Week for the week ending Sunday October 26, 2014. This marks the third-time in her career the Ithaca, N.Y. native has been honored by the NEAC with Female Swimmer-of-the-Week honors.
The Fighting Tiger sophomore diver won the one-meter diving event posting a score of 183.15 points at a double-dual meet hosted by Bard College with Bethany College on Sunday afternoon in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. Led by Steelman, the Orange & Black defeated Bard by a score of 163-50 while losing to Bethany 114-100.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday November 8 when the Fighting Tigers host Sarah Lawrence College and the College of Mount Saint Vincent in double-dual competition at the Bouck Hall Natatorium beginning at 1:00 p.m.
