Ithaca wasn't able to overcome the big hole it dug itself into against Lansing Babe Ruth, and Ithaca lost 9-7 to Lansing Babe Ruth after falling behind by four runs in the fifth inning.

Ithaca scored two runs in the seventh on a two-run double by Angel. Despite its efforts, Ithaca couldn't get over the hump.

Lansing Miller racked up two RBIs on three hits for Lansing Babe Ruth. He singled in the first, second, and fourth innings.

Garrett Bell got the win in relief for Lansing Babe Ruth. Bell pitched four innings and allowed one run.

The top of the first saw Ithaca take an early lead, 2-0. Ithaca got things going with a single. A stolen base then moved runners from first to second. Ithaca then tacked on more runs when they  scored on a passed ball.

Ithaca brought home two runs in the second inning, and matched that run total in the seventh. In the second, Ithaca scored on a hit batter.

The game's last lead went to Lansing Babe Ruth thanks to a second inning rally that saw six runs cross the plate on a two-run error and two singles.


Lansing Babe Ruth Makes The Most Of 5 Hits In 8-5 Victory Over Dryden Babe Ruth

Lansing Babe Ruth and Dryden Babe Ruth both had scoring chances, but it was Lansing Babe Ruth that was able to capitalize on them as it pulled out an 8-5 win.

Dryden Babe Ruth out-hit Lansing Babe Ruth six to five, but Dryden Babe Ruth stranded seven runners on base.

Trey McDonald got on base four times in the game for Lansing Babe Ruth. He singled in the third inning.

Lansing Miller got the win for Lansing Babe Ruth. He allowed two runs over 4 1/3 innings. He struck out six, walked four and surrendered two hits.

Lansing Babe Ruth went up for good in the first, scoring two runs on a passed ball and an RBI single by Jack Babuka.

Lansing Babe Ruth built upon its lead with four runs in the third. A clutch bases loaded walk scored McDonald to open the scoring in the frame.

Lansing Babe Ruth piled on two more runs in the top of the fourth. A bases loaded walk scored McDonald for the inning's first run.

Two runs in the bottom of the fifth helped Dryden Babe Ruth close its deficit to 8-2. A bases loaded walk by Miller and a walk by Dow triggered Dryden Babe Ruth's comeback.

Finally, Griffen Nelson induced an inning-ending from Sornberger. Three runs in the bottom of the sixth helped Dryden Babe Ruth close its deficit to 8-5. An RBI single by Skinner and a two-run single by Dodici fueled Dryden Babe Ruth's comeback. McDonald ended the inning by getting Calale to strike out.
