A game of inches, a game of seconds. Three Lansing players were ready to get the offensive rebound and put back as the final buzzer sounded. Thomas Towner was one of those in position and could only slap his hands  in frustration as the  Lansing squad found themselves on the short end of a 47-45 decision to Elmira Notre Dame in the Class C Sectional quarterfinals.

The exciting fourth quarter saw the Bobcats rally back from a nine point deficit with just over six minutes remaining. Ellington Hopkins made two big threes and the Crusaders  couldn't make the front end of some one and one opportunities. Hopkins had a game high 16 points in his final basketball game for the Cats. Darius Garvin continued being the main threat for Elmira Notre Dame scoring 15 and providing some key rebounds and blocks during the game.

The contest was a testament to the Bobcats determination and character to give it all to the end. The teams appeared to be well matched as the score indicated. The Lansing fans on hand again proved to be very supportive last Saturday night in Elmira. Lansing ends an exciting season with a 15-5 record. Optimism abounds for next years' squad with some young talent moving up and some incredible height staying put.

This year's Seniors: Troy Osterman,  Ellington Hopkins, Sam Currie, Nate McIntosh, Thomas Lange, Andrew Maul, Greg Lehr and Nick Peters.
