ITHACA— The Cayuga Chamber Orchestra’s Board of Directors announces the appointment of Susan Spafford as the new Managing Director. Ms. Spafford has been a member of the CCO for many years, and has also served as the Personnel Manager and Director of Operations.

CCO Music Director, Cornelia Laemmli Orth says, "We are thrilled to have a long-time member of the CCO filling this position. Susan’s outstanding administrative and organizational skills paired with her music background make her the ideal person and I am looking forward to working with her."

In addition to her wide-ranging performing career as an orchestral and chamber musician, she has extensive arts administration experience through her past roles with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (where she managed many of their educational programs including their youth orchestra and community outreach), the Erie Chamber Orchestra (PA) and an international audience development group in NYC focused on creating new audiences for orchestras.
