ImageKING FERRY - Regina Costello Knapp, 52, devoted wife and mother, died at her home on Rabbit Run in King Ferry on December 28, 2006 with her family by her side.

Regina was a dynamic force in all aspects of her life. She loved God and had a powerful influence on those with whom she worshipped when she was an Assistant Youth Pastor. Those who worked with her will remember the indomitable force that she applied to tasks small and monumental. She clearly loved the staff and children she leaves at Ithaca Montessori School. Her heart's desires live on in her son, Colden. She awaits Christ's return.

Regina was born in the Bronx, New York on October 8, 1954, the daughter of Thomas and Anne Costello. She was a graduate of St. Helena High School in 1972 and held an AAS degree from Katharine Gibbs in New York City.

Regina had been employed for over 20 years with Claritas/NPDC, starting out as the Office Manager for its Ithaca operation of 20 employees. She advanced to the position of Sr. Vice President, Human Resources and Administration as the company grew to over 300 employees with offices all across the country. She then went to work with Claritas' parent company, VNU as VP, Project Management for 4 years. Since 2004, Regina had been the Executive Director at Ithaca Montessori School, where she had greatly enjoyed working with the children.

Regina is survived by her loving husband of thirty years, Stephan; and her son, Colden Costello Knapp. She is also survived by her father, Thomas Costello; two sisters, Marianne (Frank) Quattrociocchi, Marie (Paul) Inserra; and two brothers, Michael (Gayle) Costello and Thomas (Donna) Costello. She was predeceased by her mother, Anne on November 11, 2004. She is also survived by one uncle, three aunts and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Regina will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother. She was a loyal friend who would go out of her way to help others. An inspiration to many who knew her through church, school and work.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Finger Lakes Bible Fellowship at 150 East Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
