Last Saturday and Sunday the Tompkins County Girl's Softball Pickup League Tournament was held on the Lansing ball fields. The league consists of three teams. Two Lansing teams play and the "Newburg" team has a combination of players from Newfield and Trumansburg. Lansing Coach Randy Randall led his teams to victory in the two day tournament.

Coach Steve Wandell brought the Newark Valley team to play in the Tournament, even though they are not in the league. Normally they play in the Endicott League (Kirkwood 16+under). They played Lansing 1, then Lansing 2, then Newburg. Newfield/Trumansburg was coached by Chris O'Hara.
