Everybody has friends who send them (allegedly) hysterical links to funny Web sites. We decided to share our picks from time to time. Here is our submission for this week:

Many people wonder, how does the Hangar find the talented actors who grace the stage each summer? The actors showcased on the Hangar's Niederkorn stage come from competitive auditions in Ithaca, New York City, and top acting schools throughout the country including Julliard, Brown, Yale, and NYU. This year, the Hangar's artistic team has already seen more than 500 talented actors and actresses audition for just 34 available roles in the upcoming Mainstage season-and auditions aren't over yet.

While firmly rooted in rigorous classical ballet training and technique, BalletX brings an exciting contemporary sensibility to the art form, infusing its work with a new vision of athleticism, emotion and intimacy.

Cornell graduate Scott Ferguson executive produced Gigantic, a new comedy starring Paul Dano and Zooey Deschanel. He'll also show clips from the upcoming HBO documentary about Temple Grandin, a Cornell Rhodes Class of '56 Professor.

The Tompkins County Public Library will display Ten Years in Clay, a retrospective exhibit of the works of Eric Serritella. The exhibit, which includes his current birch and weathered log pieces, opens February 7, 2009 and will be on display in the Avenue of the Friends through early March.

Print Incorporating a unique blend of three extraordinary acoustic musicians, Jatoba redefines their sound through collective songwriting and extreme rhythmic improvisations. Through Double Bass, Acoustic Guitars, Baritone Guitar, Mandolin, Sitar and harmonizing vocals, Jatoba displays a very eclectic arrangement of acoustic instrumentation. Jatoba is Jason Scaggs, John Jamison and Jeff Richardson.
