The Blue Frog Café of Cortland has opened a new location in Ithaca.  The Shops at Ithaca Mall welcomes The Blue Frog Café to its diverse collection of stores. 

“The Shops at Ithaca Mall is the perfect move for us,” says The Blue Frog Café owner Karina Murphy.  “When the opportunity presented itself I was very excited.”

Murphy, who has been in the coffee business since 2002, has brought local coffee, healthy foods and regional and national musicians to The Blue Frog, as well as a relaxed atmosphere.  “People always comment on how much they enjoy visiting the Blue Frog, because it’s a comfortable space,” she explains.  “We have already accepted a very generous donation of a baby grand piano for the Ithaca location, and I can’t wait to schedule lunch music!”

Local coffees include house coffee from Coffee Depot, espresso beans from Gimme! Coffee, and flavored coffees from Finger Lakes Roasters.  Menu items include non-coffee drinks like teas, smoothies and French sodas, breakfast items like breakfast burritos, steel-cut oats and yogurt parfaits, and lunch items like macaroni and cheese, chicken Caesar salads and panini.  All foods are made onsite from all-natural ingredients.

In addition to The Blue Frog’s classic drinks and foods, the Café offers relaxing music and free Wi-Fi for customers.  Coffee Club cards and monthly specials will be available, as will The Blue Frog travel mugs, and discounts to those who fill up with The Blue Frog mugs or their own.  Murphy is working on a June Calendar of Events that will feature both local music and art. 

“The Blue Frog will offer our customers and employees throughout the Mall something really special,” says Gina Speno, General Manager of The Shops at Ithaca Mall.  “We are all very excited to work with The Blue Frog Café and look forward to having it in our shopping center.”
