May is Kyle D. Dake month. The Lansing Town Board Wednesday declared that May would honor the four-time NCAA champion wrestler, 'an admired native son of the Town of Lansing, NY'. Dake and his parents were at the Lansing Town Hall for the reading and presentation of the proclamation.

The Lansing Junior Varsity Baseball team improved their record to four and zero as they pulled out a couple more assertive wins. Last Tuesday the cats journeyed down to Greene and snatched a 14 – 6 win from the hands of the Trojans. After several rainouts, this past Monday the team voyaged down to Whitney Point and clipped the wings of the Eagles in an 11 – 3 victory.
The Lansing Junior Varsity Baseball team started their season off with chilly weather but, they played hot and won their first two games of the season. Thanks to the Lansing Baseball Program, Kyle Rizzo (Modified Baseball Coach) and Dan Cheatham (JV Baseball Coach) the team is filled with utility players, solid hitters and a committee of quality pitchers. Cheatham coaches the skilled team of players with good leadership, an original sense of humor and a great knowledge of the game. The team operates as a disciplined machine, but keeps fun in the front of their minds.
The Lansing Boy's and Girl's Varsity Track teams had their first Dual meets this past Monday against Groton and Moravia at Groton. The boy's and girl's both beat Groton and Moravia.
The Town of Lansing plans to name April 18th as Kyle Dake Day in Lansing at its regular monthly meeting on April 17th (6pm at the Lansing Town Hall). The Town Board will vote on a proclamation officially declaring the day and honoring Dake.
Led by #1 singles Andy Parkes, #2 singles Nick Zarate and #3 singles Jonathan Sun the Bobcats are shooting for their 3rd straight Sectionals championship. Returning seniors Andrew Bertonica, Luke Mehringer, Spencer Warkentin, Ben Calhoun and Woojin Richardson add to a deep squad that also seeks it's 4th straight IAC conference championship.
The Tompkins Girls Hockey Association (TGHA) 12-and-under team went undefeated in 3 games March 5 at the 3rd annual FLAG (Finger Lakes Area Girls) League Tournament on March 1-3rd in Baldwinsville NY.

A game of inches, a game of seconds. Three Lansing players were ready to get the offensive rebound and put back as the final buzzer sounded. Thomas Towner was one of those in position and could only slap his hands in frustration as the Lansing squad found themselves on the short end of a 47-45 decision to Elmira Notre Dame in the Class C Sectional quarterfinals.
The Lansing Varsity Indoor Track and Field team competed at the State Qualifier meet on Saturday, February 23rd at Cornell's Barton Hall. The team had 4 athletes qualify for the State Meet.
On Saturday February 9, 2013 the Lansing High School Girls finished their bowling season at Midway lanes in Vestal. They tossed a 1885 total pin fall to finish 7th in the Section IV "C" Tournament. Carli Teitelbaum was top bowler for the team tossing games of (153, 144, 137 for a 434 series). Keisha Lee (153 game), Kaela Teitelbaum (145 game) other members of the team Kennedy Pratt, Amanda Seymour and Melissa Seymour.
