The Lansing Varsity, JV, and Modified programs will change a struggling program with former Lansing Softball coach Randy Randall heading up the Varsity Team with a mix of bunt, slaps, and a strong hitting team and boasts having one of his "best" outfields ever.Coach Randall understands that he has a challenge at hand and is very patient when comes to turning a program around. Continuity and composure is key to the teams success. Lansing has a core of talented Seniors in Division All Stars in Brittany French and Lauri Bush.




The Boy’s golf team will be returning everyone from last year’s team with some new additions this year. The team is comprised of a nice mix of youth and experience.
The Varsity Baseball team opened their 2009 season with a 7-4 road win at Union Springs on Tuesday. Justin Payne picked up the win, pitching 5 strong innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 6.
The Ithaca Shooting Stars 14U girls hockey team finished their season playing in the Don Vetter Memorial tournament hosted by the Canandaigua Knights March 21-22, and playing area teams the previous weekend. They tied the host Knights 16U girls 4-4 and lost to the Perinton Edge girls 0-3 which placed them in the semi-final game rematch with the Knights which ended 4-6. In other action they defeated the Skaneateles Lakers 16Us, 3-2, and fell to the Binghamton Blizzard 16Us, 3-4.
Junior Ellyn Grant-Keane and sophomore Jocelyn Ford participated in the Stars & Stripes All-Star basketball tournament held at Davis College in Johnson City last week. The Lansing duo played for the host Davis College team, coached by Stuart Dean, along with players from Horseheads, Ithaca, Odessa Montour, Tioga, and Candor.
Monday evening Lansing Athletic Director John Taylor welcomed Lansing's winter sports teams for an awards ceremony to honor this season's two State Champions along with all the teams. 
Ithaca 19U Shooting Stars girls hockey team advanced to the semi-finals of the NYSAHA Championship Tournament in Glens Falls after defeating the Mohawk Valley Herricanes 9-3 and tieing the West Seneca Wings and Adirondack Northstars, 1-1 each time.
Rochester 3-8-09 the Section IV “All Section Team” which had six girls from six different schools rolls to victory in State finals. With two girls from the IAC (Kristi & Megan Paterson from Waverly) along with four girls from the STAC the girls go to practice on Saturday night after hearing the Union Endicott girls had won the school girls team crown during the day and were told it was a very tough shot.
