The regular season for the IAC has come to an end with the IAC Championship Tournament this past Saturday in Waverly. Season Champion’s were crowned and the day was filled with 160 bowlers rolling in the season final. Waverly boys & girls won but the Lansing girls where a close second rolling their best score of the season.Lansing was paced by Kristi Sullivan 608 but everyone on the team received ribbons as the IAC honors the top twenty bowlers and Lauri Bush was twenty with a 481 series. This was the first time that the whole team received ribbons or metals at the tournament.

I definately agree with Dan's assessment that the inconvenience of Lansing's closed post office impacting more than 3 individuals must be true.
Saturday marked the eleventh year the Lansing Athletic Hall Of Fame inducted members since the first ten athletes were inducted in 1998. This year three individuals -- Beverly {Longhouse} Hartz (athlete), Jason Eade (coach), and Ron "Rock Salt" Eastman (contributor) -- were awarded the honor along with three football teams. The football teams from 1956, 1957, and 1958 represented what Geoff Wright called an an 'era of football in Lansing athletic history'. The induction was held at Lansing High School gym between girls junior varsity and varsity basketball games.

The Ithaca 19U and 12U Shooting Stars teams were victorious in all of their games last weekend. The 12Us defeated the Clifton Park Eagles 12Us, 6-1, and the Adirondack Northstars 12Us, 4-3; while the 19Us won over the Adirondack Northstars 19U, 4-0, and the Mohawk Valley Herricanes 19Us, 5-2.
The Lansing Wrestling team had it's last home tri meet of the season last evening. Traditionally that means senior night. Not breaking with traditon we honored our 3 seniors and their parents for in some cases 6 years of varsity wrestling.
