Now that we have returned we need both foster and of course permanent homes for these delightful creatures. Several already are in homes, but we'd like to get them out of the kennel ASAP- they deserve a warm home.

All dogs are now neutered and those that were heartworm positive have been treated- thanks to the vet vendors and Meadowridge staff. We still have 3 Beagles and 3 Pit Bulls to place in homes. We also have a lab cross and a Catahoula Leopard cross out in foster.

As you have seen in the pictures- New Orleans still needs all the help it can get. The shelters keep asking for us to come back down- they have spent so much time caring for these animals when they themselves have lost everything. Between the 2 Katrina Karavans we have saved 18 cats and 49 dogs, plus 4 dogs through another Rescue group.

If you are interested in helping out we welcome donations and are looking for foster homes as well as families to adopt.

Of the 7 Bahamas dogs we still have 2 to place. They too are sweet dogs- happy and healthy.

Donations and inquiries can be made to Sharon Garland at 533-7661.
