The Next Jennaration Dance Company attended Starpower National Championships July 18-23 in Ocean City, Maryland and not only excelled in all age categories but won another national championship. This will be the studios 3rd national championship in the last 4 years, having won in 2012 and 2014 as well.  The Next Jennaration dancers came home with several first place and high scoring trophies.

All dances are led by Jenna Stickel, the studio's owner and lead choreographer were awarded the highest score of 5 stars.  Featuring dancers from both of TNJ's studios in Lansing and Oswego, it placed 11 dances in the competition's final show at The Battle of the Stars. These 11 dances were also awarded Golden Tickets (automatic bids into the World Dance Championships) held later in 2015.

The studio's Lyrical performance, For Only A Season, featuring 30 of the 100 TNJ dancers that attended, won the national championship and the Victory Cup for overall high score in The Battle of the Stars where the best of the best compete.


Several of The Next Jennaration soloists landed in the over-all high scores for their solo performances.  These dancers include.  Caitlin Brown, Abby Douglas, Madie Higby, Jillian Littlefair, Paige Maxson, Hannah Smith, Skylar Trappasso and Morgan Wohkittle. Jenna Stickel, lead choreographer, won the national Choreography award for her piece titled For Only A Season.

The Next Jennaration will be entering its 10th season this fall.
