Ithaca ...  The Tompkins County SPCA's 17th Annual Dog Walk-a-Thon, held on May 7th, was a great success. The event raised almost $10,000 for the thousands of homeless animals that make the TC SPCA their temporary home every year.  Special thanks go to all participants from the SPCA, especially their top fundraisers and prize-winners:  Sharon Peters, Tina O'Dell, Leni & Dan Maas, Ruth Shannon, Bertie Carmon, and Pat & Len Newton. 
 
Congratulations go to the Youth Top Fundraisers: Hannah Parker Carver, Jamie Eddlestone, and Brittany Carlisle.
 
And a very special "four-paw salute" to 15 Steps, The ADMinders, Animal Images, Cayuga Water & Coffee Service, Claws & Paws, Cornell Concert Series, Darien Lake Theme Park, Doctors Foster & Smith, Fibers & Fantasy, Hangar Theatre, Hope's Way, Ithaca Bakery, Ithaca Books, Ithaca Grain & Pet Supply, Ithaca Journal, Kope's Garage, Kong Company, Loose Threads, Morris Mens Wear, Night and Day, Nylabone, Pampered Pets, PAWS/Doggie Style, Pet Depot, PetsMart, The Rose, Sammy's Pizzeria, Simeons on the Commons, and Ten Thousand Villages for donating fabulous prizes and providing support.
