Laurie Linn will receive an honor in Career Achievement for the Successful Business Women Awards.

The 2016 Successful Business Women Awards will be held on September 21st in Syracuse, New York. Recipients for the Career Achievement category were nominated by members of the community. After receiving over 40 nominations, a judging panel reviewed all the candidates. The panel took into consideration mentorship practices, community engagement, leadership qualities, years in service, and  years in business.

The ceremony event honors 25 women across the business spectrum, ranging from social services, mentorship, media services and higher education and many more. The Awards will be held in Syracuse's Oncenter as a breakfast event, featuring several inspirational speakers, exhibitors all for women leaders across the Central New York Region to connect and network. The event is presented by Business Journal News Net and produced by BizEventz.

Linn, President and CEO of Communique Design and Marketing Inc., started the company in 1991; it is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary . Two years ago, Communique reached Woman Owned Business Enterprise status. Linn is intrinsically involved with the Ithaca community: in 2016, she launched a new community campaign in Ithaca titled PLEDGE 4 Ithaca, which aims to help end sexual assault and rape in local secondary schools.
