Triphammer Arts Inc. will present Rogers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! opening on Wednesday August 1, and continuing Friday through Sunday August 3, 4, and 5, 2018. Performances will take place rain or shine at 7:00pm at the CRS Barn Studio, 2622 North Triphammer Road in Lansing.

"If ever a musical theatre work deserved its exclamation point, it's Oklahoma!" wrote the Chicago Tribune's John von Rhein in 2013. This Pulitzer Prize winner and perennial audience favorite includes such familiar tunes as 'Oh, what a beautiful morning', 'People will say we're in love', 'Surrey with the fringe on top', and the rousing title song, 'Oklahoma!' On the 75th anniversary of the show's 1943 premier, the choice is a natural for the farm setting of the CRS Barn, with its natural rustic background and expansive views of Cayuga Lake – where art and agriculture meet.

The cast is led by local stars Steven Stull and Lynn Craver as lovers Curly and Laurey, with David Neal as the murderous Jud Fry, and Benno Ressa and Natasha Bratkovski as the adorable Will Parker and Ado Annie. Hector Gonzalez Smith plays the 'Persian' peddler Ali Hakim with Carol McAmis as Aunt Eller presiding over all. These talented performers are supported by a chorus of well-known singers from the central New York area.

Stull directs the production, with Richard Montgomery as music director and William Cowdery as chorus master. Choreographer Jeanne Goddard will create the dances, including the well-known 'dream ballet' at the end of Act I.
