Come get your graveyard on with DeWitt Middle School's Drama Club students as they portray America's favorite ghoulish family with an affinity for all things macabre! The cast and crew have been hard at work preparing for five upcoming performances of The Addams Family, this December 13, 14, 15 at 7pm and December 15 and 16 at 2pm, 2018 in the DeWitt Middle School Theatre in Ithaca.

The Addams Family, a beloved 60s TV show turned movie and Broadway musical, became beloved all over again, with everyone's favorite characters returning – including Morticia, Gomez, Wednesday, Pugsley, Grandma, Fester and Lurch. They bring their unique brand of cheerful gloom and doom to the world with such wonderful songs as "When You're an Addams," "Full Disclosure," "One Normal Night," "Crazier Than You," and "Let's Live Before We Die."

The Addams Family features an original story that is every father's nightmare! Wednesday Addams, princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. As if that weren't upsetting enough, Wednesday begs her father not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents. The Addams Family's music and lyrics, written by Andrew Lippa, and book created by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, are based upon characters created by Charles Addams.

The DeWitt Middle School Drama Club brings this classic production to the stage with evening performances on Thursday, December 13; Friday, December 14; and Saturday, December 15 at 7pm. Matinees are on Saturday, December 15 and Sunday, December 16 at 2pm.
