Helen Alma Lampman Georgia, nee Schroth. age 85, of Woodsedge, Lansing, NY died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY.

Born in Rochester, NY on September 26, 1923, she was the only daughter of the late Henry and Julia Tas Schroth. Mrs. Georgia moved to Ithaca, NY in May 1951 and to Lansing, NY in 1961.

She is survived by her five daughters: Judith (Paul) Lankau of Sag Harbor, NY, Linda Smith of Newfield, Claudia Georgia of Ithaca, Cynthia (Dale) Aumick of Ithaca, and Christa (Raul) Quiroga of Boynton Beach, FL; her three sons: James Georgia of Frankfort, NY, Jeffrey (Bonni) Georgia of Ithaca and Ronald (Lucinda Jones) Georgia of Groton; she is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Lampman Fish of Trumansburg; her cousin, Virginia Appleton of Rochester, NY; her sisters-in-law, Diana Wagner of Lansing, NY and Shirley Doran of Illinois; her brothers-in-law, Bud (Marsha) Georgia of Trumansburg, NY and Ronald (June) Georgia of Elmira Heights, NY; her grandsons: Paul (Carson) Lankau. Jr; Harold.(Kathryn) Smith, III; Jason Holden; Joshua (Natasha) Aumick; Jason (Chenoa Shields) Aumick; James Georgia, Jr.; Christopher (Anna) Lampman; Jonathan Georgia; Aaron Georgia; Ryan Georgia; Justin Georgia; Derek Aumick; Jordon Maxwell Georgia; Ethan Georgia; and Caelob Georgia and granddaughters: Kelly (Timothy) Watts; Kristyn Lankau Toole; Jennifer (Anthony) Macera; Catherine Georgia; Ericka Quiroga; Haley Georgia; and Emily Georgia plus 18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a special nephew, Edward R. Wagner of Lansing, NY. She is predeceased by her first husband, Elmer F. Lampman; by her second husband, Ralph J. Georgia; by her son, Kevin J. Lampman; and her son-in-law, Harold H. Smith, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Rev. David Braid officiating. Private burial will be at Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, NY. Friends may call from 9:30 - 11 am prior to the service on Saturday.
