mailmanAs a former member of the TC Legislature for 12 years and the Chair of the TC IDA for a number of years I have observed how development happens in the County and watched where town supervisors have worked hard to lessen the property tax burden on their residents. Some have done little, others have attacked the problem with vigor.

The Town of Lansing is fortunate to have Ed LaVigne as their Supervisor, he has kept his foot to the pedal to make sure Lansing residents were getting the best results from their hard earned tax dollars. His job has been made much harder by the closing of the power plant whose valuation has decreased from over $120,000,000 to somewhere near $5,000,000. This lost tax revenue has to be made up to continue the services of the town and the school district.

Ed has cooperated with other local governments to gain infrastructure access that is necessary to encourage development, Coupled with other efforts to bring tax paying development to Lansing, Ed has worked hard to fill that tax loss void. Ed LaVigne, should be returned to his Supervisor job in the November election. He has a demonstrated ability to get things done.
