The boys varsity soccer team will play for the IAC championship on Friday October 20th.  The boys have reached the final doing it the hard way.  Lansing did not win the Division III championship but had a chance to get to the final four of the IAC if they could beat Elmira Notre Dame in a wild card playoff in Trumansburg on Monday.  

They did just that beating Notre Dame 1-0 behind a goal by Dan Hranek with 15 minute to play in the game. The goal was set up by Walker Diebolt and Lucas Heffron.

The team then traveled to Watkins Glen to play Spencer Van-Etten (Division II Champion) in the IAC Semi-Final.  Lansing played very well coming out with a 3-0 victory.  In the first half Lansing withstood an early charge and got a goal by Patrick Sweazey on an assist from Devin Grant-Keane.  20 minute later Lucas Heffron set-up Adam Hardie to make the score 2-0.

The second half Lansing sealed the game with a goal from Jeremy Petak on an assist from Ryan Mallinson.  Lansing defense played very well holding down SVE.  Lansing was led by Tyler Flemming, Andrew Fessenden, Tom Zarate and Keeper Teagan Barresi.

Lansing will play Dryden at 8:00 tonight at Cortland State for the League Title.
